"The Cut" is a famous Prescott Rally landmark
[Photo: pfr06_ra_fjf008_tn.jpg]

It's a narrow trail that challenges teams through the cut
[Photo: pfr06_ra_fjf009_tn.jpg]

Exiting the cut leads to a rough section of tight corners with big drops
[Photo: pfr06_ra_fjg017_tn.jpg]

Even with the drops, it's important to use the whole road
[Photo: pfr06_ra_fjg018_tn.jpg]

The roads seemed more slippery than usual this year, as if a coating of ball bearings had been laid down

Dust trails behind the race car. We topped out at over 100 MPH on several occasions.

The Perkinsville stage had lots of fast, wide open sections
[Photo: pfr06_ra_fjh013_tn.jpg]

The Perkins View stage was 22 miles long. We recorded a top speed of 116 MPH at some point along the road.

Fortunately for us, the sign can be ignored in this part of the competition. On the transit stages, we always come to a full stop.
